GPM Observatory Satellite – Space Education : 3D Puzzle, Laser Cut, Scroll Saw, CNC Router, Template, Pattern DXF, CDR, SVG

GPM Observatory Satellite – Space Education 3D Puzzle: Engage with cutting-edge environmental science with the GPM (Global Precipitation Measurement) Observatory Satellite 3D Puzzle, an educational model that provides insight into the satellite technology used for monitoring Earth’s precipitation. This laser-cut CNC template illustrates the GPM Satellite, crucial for weather forecasting, climate research, and water cycle studies. It’s perfect for students, educators, and space enthusiasts who wish to explore the application of satellite technology in environmental science. Suitable for laser cutters, CNC routers, and plasma cutters. Included file formats are SVG, DXF, CDR, PDF. The patterns are available in two standard sizes, usually 1/8th (.1250) and 3mm, but are scalable vectors, allowing you to adjust the pattern size to suit the thickness of your material. Scaling up will enlarge the finished product or reduce it if scaled down. Please see our Scale Calculator for easy adjustments.

GPM Observatory Satellite – Space Education

Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM) is a joint mission between JAXA and NASA as
well as other international space agencies to make frequent, every 2-3 hours,
observations of Earth’s precipitation. It is part of NASA’s Earth Systematic
Missions program and will work with a constellation of satellites to provide full
global coverage. The project will provide global precipitation maps to assist
researchers in studying global climate, improving the forecasting of extreme
events, and adding to current capabilities for using such satellite data to
benefit society. GPM builds on the notable successes of the Tropical Rainfall
Measuring Mission, which is also a joint NASA-JAXA activity.
The project is managed by NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, and consists of a
GPM Core Observatory satellite assisted by a constellation of spacecraft from
other agencies and missions. The Core Observatory satellite will measure the two-
and three-dimensional structure of Earth’s precipitation patterns and provide a
new calibration standard for the rest of the satellite constellation. The GPM Core
Observatory was assembled and tested at Goddard Space Flight Center, and launched
from Tanegashima Space Center, Japan, on a Mitsubishi Heavy Industries H-IIA
rocket. The launch occurred on February 28, 2014 at 3:37am JST on the first
attempt. Agencies in the U.S., Japan, India and Europe operate the remaining
satellites in the constellation for agency-specific goals, but also cooperatively
provide data for GPM.

NOTE: Our 3D Puzzles can be built in different thicknesses.
Example: 1/8″ uses 1/8″ Plywood…1/4″ uses 1/4″ Plywood, etc.
As a rule, although the slots are set to fit the same sized tool, most
people will use a smaller bit size when cutting on a CNC Router.
