The Infantry Chariot : 3D Puzzle, Laser Cut, Scroll Saw, CNC Router, Template, Pattern DXF, CDR, SVG

The Infantry Chariot 3D Puzzle captures the ancient form of this military vehicle in stunning detail. Designed as a laser-cut CNC template, this puzzle offers a captivating and rewarding assembly experience. Suitable for laser cutters, CNC routers, and plasma cutters. Included file formats are SVG, DXF, CDR, and PDF. Patterns are supplied in two standard sizes, usually 1/8th (.1250) and 3mm, but are scalable vectors, allowing you to adjust the pattern size to suit the thickness of your material. Scaling up will enlarge the finished model or shrink it if you scale down. Please see our Scale Calculator to make this task simple.

The Infantry Chariot Tank
The infantry tank was a concept developed by the British and French in the years leading up to World War II. Infantry tanks were designed to support foot soldiers in the attack. To achieve this, the vehicles were generally heavily armored to allow them to operate in close concert with infantry even under heavy fire. The extra armor came at the expense of speed, which was not an issue when supporting relatively slow moving infantry.
Once the infantry tank-supported attack had broken through heavily defended areas in the enemy lines, other, tanks such as cruiser or light tanks, were expected to exploit their higher speed and longer range to operate far behind the front in order to cut lines of supply and communications.
The first depictions of four-wheeled wagons pulled by semi-domesticated onagers and other available animals come from the Sumerians. Against infantry these fast chariots used tactics of wearing down the enemy by missile fire, deploying heavy troops and running down enemies.
The next step was towards faster chariots with spoke-wheels. Lighter wheels made lighter constructions possible. This made it feasible to outrun light infantry and other chariots. Plus the development of short composite bows that made it a devastating weapon.
Slingers and javeliners, who could counterattack and protect the other troops, had no armor protection or shield discipline. They were skirmishers, keeping out of enemy range. But the moving chariots showering them with arrows were difficult to hit so they were rendered helpless against these. The role and tactics of war chariots are often compared to tanks in modern warfare but this is disputed with scholars pointing out that chariots were vulnerable and fragile, required a level terrain while tanks are all-terrain vehicles, and thus not suitable for use in the way modern tanks have been used as a physical shock force.
